Finding a cure for cancer isn’t only the responsibility of scientists. It’s not just the job of those who manage and administrate cancer foundations. It’s up to us all to fight cancer. It’s up to everyone to find a cure for cancer.

October is breast cancer awareness month. It’s difficult to find anyone who hasn’t been touched by cancer. Most folks have experienced friends, family, or co-workers facing the trials of cancer.

Last year our team compiled this video. It still touches me every time I watch it. TKO Touched by Cancer. Several TKO Teammates shared their stories about how cancer had impacted their lives. Nick Musselwhite Honoring my Mom,  Sarah Wilson and Her Father-in-Law, and Sandra Puttkammer and Her Bestie.

Real Men Wrap their SUV’s in Pink

TKO Graphix president, Tom Taulman II participated last year in Real Men Wear Pink Hendricks County. His goal was to raise $2500. He exceeded it by more than $7500. Thanks to the commitment from team TKO and the help of our customers Tom raised more than $10,000 and wrapped his ride in all pink! TKO Graphix Knockout Cancer.

It’s About People

But this post isn’t about TKO Graphix. We’re not alone, many of our customers raise awareness, and dollars, in their own way, for example, Metro Elevator has committed to support cancer awareness 365 days a year.

It’s about people; people struggling with the greatest challenge of their life—cancer, and people doing what they can to help. Are you one of the people who help? Is your company involved?  Or is it time to take the next step, and step up to the challenge? Here are a few ways you can participate.

There are many ways to help and many worthy cancer initiatives to support. Every bit of help inches us towards a day when cancer isn’t the horror it is today. Even the smallest donation paves the way for a day without cancer. Every act of volunteering brings us closer to a cure. Whether your contribution is big or small doesn’t matter. What matters is your help. When we work together, we make a difference. How are you helping this October?
