The Miracle Ride, which benefits Riley Children’s Hospital, is Indiana’s largest and longest running motorcycle charity event. The ride attracts riders from all over the state including celebrities such as Mike Pence, the governor of Indiana. So, this year the event runs from 5/31 to 6/1 and includes an auction at Lucas Oil Raceway, poker runs, and…a raffle.
How Does the Miracle Ride Help Riley Children’s Hospital?
“Riley Children’s Foundation is fortunate to count Miracle Ride participants and leaders among our generous friends. Because the Miracle Ride has raised more than $4 million for Riley Hospital for Children, making a life-changing difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and their families.” – Kevin O’Keefe, president and CEO, Riley Children’s Foundation.
What is the Raffle?
Terry Reilly, Miracle Ride Foundation, Inc. Executive Director, explained the Harley-Davidson raffle, “The grand bike is a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King FLHR and will be raffled off on Sunday, June 1st following the Miracle Ride to one lucky donor. It made possible by two very special sponsors; Indianapolis Southside Harley-Davidson and Get Legal, Get Licensed Initiative of the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
The GLGL gas tank was created to help ICJI spread the word about the importance of motorcycle rider safety by getting properly licensed and trained. More than half of Hoosier motorcycle fatalities occur to riders who are not licensed. The tank and GLGL identity were donated by IndyWest Harley-Davidson and TKO Graphix.
