I remember chatting with a local television newscaster about sales. The TV personality had built a reputaion for championing underdogs and corporate exposé. When I told him he’d make a great salesperson he was offended. His impression of a salesperson was one of a sociopathic liar and cheat; someone whose singular motivation was making the sale with no consideration for the customer’s wants and needs. I couldn’t convince him otherwise. There were a lot of unscrupulous salespeople who not only got away with it but thrived. That was 15-20 years ago, I believe there are fewer cons and more consultants in the world today. Are you in sales? Take the quiz and prove me right.

How did you score?

Are you a con or a consultant? Am I correct in believing there are more reputable, socially conscious, customer centric sales people today than there was only a few years ago. Let me know how you scored. Thanks, Randy
