TKO Graphix is privileged to have worked with the University of Michigan Solar Car Team for several years. The UMSolar Team, founded in 1989, has built ten solar powered vehicles, and won six National Championships. The team has its sights on the World Solar Challenge. This 1880-mile race across the Australian Outback runs from October 16th, through October 23, 2011. No American team has won the challenge since a General Motors team won the inaugural event in 1987. UMSolar believes it’s about time the USA won another trophy.

Below is a recent email sent to the TKO Graphix staff from the UMSolar team about their recent solar car decals and wrapped trailers.

“I just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that the wrap on the solar car turned out great. Just since the car got wrapped last week, we have taken it to a photo shoot with Roush Industries and the racing legend Jack Roush, the Woodward Dream Cruise, and just yesterday we had the car on display at the Pure Michigan 400 Sprint Cup race at MIS. Everywhere we’ve taken the car, people have been really impressed with the wrap, so I wanted to thank you for the great work on it.”
