1. A Small Token of Appreciation
Showing employees appreciation doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. Sometimes it’s the little things that mean the most to employees. Whether it’s a quick snack to thank them for all they do or management thanking employees for the hard work they put in each day. When showing employee appreciation, it’s all about the meaning behind it. So, if you think about the meaning of why you’re doing what you’re doing, then your employees will feel that appreciation.

Who doesn’t love a sweet treat to say thank you? One easy way to show your employees you care is by getting your team a sweet treat. This can range from cupcakes, and cookies, to even putting together a hot chocolate bar for your employees to come and enjoy!
4. Handwritten Thank You Notes
Showing appreciation doesn’t always mean big extravagant gifts. One simple way you can show employees you care is by telling them. Sometimes hearing how important they are can mean more than any gift or swag item could.
5. Plan Your Own Employee Appreciation Day or Week
If you’re wanting a bigger gesture, you could always plan your own Employee Appreciation Week. In 2022, TKO Graphix highlighted each of our departments during the year and granted them their own appreciation week or day (depending on the size of the department). During our Production Appreciation Week this year, we did something unique each day just for that group of employees.
Monday, they received an apple cider treat in a color-changing reusable cup. Tuesday consisted of scratch-off lottery tickets. We did another sweet treat on Wednesday. Thursday each person received their own snack pack filled with several sweet & salty snacks. And then finally on Friday, they enjoyed a catered Chick-fil-a breakfast and received new employee swag items that included a new shirt, lanyard, phone clip, and reusable tote bag.
It’s never too late to start showing your employees you appreciate them. Even if you’ve never done anything in the past for Employee Appreciation Day, there’s no time like the present. As a company, one thing TKO Graphix worked to improve was being able to show appreciation to our out-of-state employees. And although it was a challenge, we still were able to show those employees appreciation in different ways throughout the year.
