Have you ever wondered what your fleet vehicle goes through in a day?

Hi, my name is Bob. I’m a fleet vehicle. I’m from the Ford family, Transit branch. You know, with all the modern technology on a fleet vehicle today, we can do a lot. You could say we’re smart vehicles. I’m connected to the internet, and that’s how I can communicate with my driver, Jessica. I want to tell you about my day–a day in the life of a fleet vehicle.

Full Disclosure: The story you are about to read is completely fictional. There is no Jessica, the driver, nor a van named, “Bob the Beast.” Although, technically it is possible, but highly unlikely.

The following story is made up to merely entertain and illustrate a different perspective on a day in the life of a fleet vehicle with graphics. The story shows how many people come into contact with your brand and fleet graphics every day in different ways.

Enjoy, and be sure to make a good impression with your fleet graphics (in real life).

A Day in the Life of a Fleet Vehicle

Getting Our Day Started

The day starts with my driver, Jessica, unlocking my doors and settling in. I know she loves me because she always says so when she gets inside, and she takes good care of me. I’m kinda her pet. Jessica is the one who named me Bob. “Bob the Beast” because I get the job done. I’m a hard working fleet vehicle.

The company dressed me in handsome fleet graphics. Jessica and I are both proud of my graphics. I look great, it reflects well on our business, and Jessica seems proud to drive me around.

Our First Stop

At our first stop of the day, we visited a happy customer. He met us outside in the driveway. I didn’t hear the whole conversation between him and Jessica, but I did hear him say, “What a great looking truck! It’s what I’d expect from a professional organization like yours.”

While Jessica was inside with the customer, I noticed a neighbor walking up to me and taking a photo with her phone. She was saving our contact information. I saw her making a call as she walked back to her home. I bet she was calling our office because she needs service too!

Road Work

When Jessica finished, we headed to our next appointment. We ran into road construction. The 4-lane road we were on was down to two lanes and another driver on a side street was having a hard time turning onto the busy road. When we got to the side street, Jessica put on my brakes, and we stopped to let the driver out. I could see how happy they were. I’ll bet they’ll say good things about us.

Before we got to the next stop, a car pulled beside us, honked and waved. Jessica said it was her boss Margarette’s family. They were happy and proud to see us on the road.

We completed two more service stops, then Jessica stopped for lunch. She always parks me close to the street where she can show me off. I saw people looking, and I know some of them jotted down our contact information.

Lunch Hour

After Jessica had her lunch, it was time to fill me up, so we stopped at a gas station. While Jessica was filling my tank, a young man walked over and asked her about our company. It seemed he was looking for a new job and had heard good things about our organization. Jessica told him she loved her job, gave him a card, and told him to call Margarette. My favorite part was when she talked about how much the company supported the employees and said, “Just look at the fine fleet vehicle I get to drive!”

I’m Only One Truck!

As the day went on, we completed more service calls, and I saw more people take down our contact information. I heard one lady say, “These trucks are everywhere. They must be a big company.” Do you want to know something funny? I’m the only company fleet vehicle on this side of town, so she must have seen me dozens of times while Jessica and I make our rounds.

It was a long day. It wasn’t until 7 PM that Jessica and I finished up. Tonight, we’d stay at her place. She parked me in her driveway for all her neighbors to see. It was a good ending to another good day—just one more day in the life of a fleet vehicle.
