Good question, like most things it depends on a few variables, but it’s hard to go wrong with drinkware. Specialty drinkware is owned by over 20 % of the American population. Whether it’s coffee, water, soda, or adult beverages—everyone drinks.
Are You aligned with the Food and Beverage Industry?
If your business or organization is aligned with the food and beverage industry in any way, then drinkware is a no-brainer, It’s a promotional product you should use. A few years ago, Samuel Adams Brewery developed a glass especially designed for beer enhancement. As a subscriber to All About Beer Magazine, I was sent two of the glasses. To this day, I share the glasses, the story, and my respect for Sam Adams commitment to quality. I’m an advocate for their product. It worked, but even if you’re not in the food and beverage industry, drinkware can be an excellent choice for promotions.
Who Owns Branded Drinkware?
According to Advertising Specialty Institute 21% of American consumers own branded drinkware. Travel mugs, acrylic cups with straws, disposable plastic glasses, sports bottles, ceramic cups, and wine glasses can all share your logo and message, and don’t forget coasters and koozies. In the ASI study, it’s interesting to note that consumers over 35 own less drinkware than those under 35. Can we infer the younger generation drinks more? ;-) Another interesting fact about promotional drinkware—it’s just as likely to be used at home as in the office.
How Does it Break Down?
• 24% of women and 17% of men own these products
• 25% of 25 to 34 olds own branded drinkware
• 20% of 35 to 54 olds own branded drinkware
• 19% of those 55 or older own specialty drinkware
