What does full service mean? What is a full service vehicle graphics provider? President Harry S. Truman may have said it best when he said, “The buck stops here”. For providers who offer full service, it’s difficult to pass the buck. If a company does it all, who can they pass the buck to? With a full service vehicle graphics provider, such as TKO Graphix, the buck stops here.
What Is a Full Service Graphics Vehicle Provider?
A full service vehicle graphics provider completes every stage of the fleet graphics journey. For TKO Graphics that means design, fabrication, graphic removal, and installation. Does that mean we always complete every step? No, it doesn’t. What it means is we offer every step and do what’s best for our customers. For example, some client’s come to us with artwork and design in hand. We always check the formatting, but if the customer doesn’t need our design work, we don’t force it on them.
Another example of a full service vehicle graphics provider is how installation is managed. Although here at TKO we have more than 100 3M certified installers we can’t always meet the needs of clients hundreds of miles from our operations. In that case, we rely on 3M certified applicators across the United States. We have several we’ve built long-standing relationships with. Regardless whether it’s our design or employee installation we stand behind our product and honor our work and warranty.
Have You Had a Bad Experience?
I don’t know if you’ve ever had an experience similar to the one I’m about to share, but it’s always in the back of my mind when I’m considering a provider. I hired a home remodeling company, and although the work was good and timely, I had an issue a few months after the installation. The product was within the manufacturer’s warranty, but it became a true headache to fix.
The company I contracted hired sub-contractors to complete the work, and the manufacturer blamed the subs. I was communicating with three different outfits, all with different procedures and varying points of view. Live and learn. Whenever possible, I look for companies who offer full service, doing all or most of the work themselves. When a company offers design, manufacturing, and installation, it’s difficult to pass the buck, and much easier to communicate.
With Vehicle graphics it can turn bad quickly with the wrong provider. Here’s one example that was shared on FOX 59, “The owner of the vehicle took photos of his car after the wrap. There were warped spots, patched areas, and knife cuts in the paint. When he picked up his car it was full of trash including someone’s credit cards, tools, and a pair of socks.
The car was nearly out of gas, had 200 miles on it, and there is video on Instagram of the vehicle being driven full of people dancing in their seats. It made the car owner feel as if his new car was no longer new.” — A Vehicle Graphics Horror Story and how to Avoid it.
