JC Lawncare Truck Graphics Work in the Snow!

JC Lawncare Truck Graphics work in the snow. What would a company that does lawn care and landscaping be doing with their trucks in the snow? JC Lawncare is known for … well lawn care. We wrote about that side of their business last year, JC Lawncare Fleet Graphics, but did you know they do snow removal as well? They do, JC Lawncare becomes JC Snow Removal when the flakes start falling here in Central Indiana. Here are a few of the snow removal activities JC Snowcare does in the winter.

JC Lawncare Truck Graphics

The JC Lawncare graphics can be seen working in the snow but they do a lot more than snow removal.

Snow Removal

  • Plowing
  • Salting
  • Shoveling
  • Sidewalk clearing
  • Lot clearing
  • Liquid calcium chloride de-icing
  • Residential clearing
  • Commercial clearing

Whether it’s lawn care, landscaping, or snow removal JC Lawncare wants to help you make the best possible first impression “At JC Lawncare, we realize that first impressions last forever. We look forward to taking care of all your landscaping and property maintenance needs!”

The JC Lawncare Truck Graphics

The JC Lawncare truck graphics shown here isn’t a wrap it’s a plotter cut decal. Too many folks think a full wrap is the only way to share their message on vehicles effectively. That’s just not true. So, in many cases, a partial wrap or decals can be just as good at delivering a message and building brand as a full wrap.

Not every vehicle needs or is suited to full wrap vehicle graphics. The JC Lawncare decal is a great example of a vehicle graphic that works. It begins with a well-designed, highly recognizable logo that’s branded across multimedia. Next, it shares what the company does, lawn care and snow removal. Simple yet effective – it gets the point across. And finally, to tie it all together the contact information is loud and clear.

Who is JC Lawncare?

“We are a top rated landscape and lawn service company that provides commercial & residential services to homes and businesses throughout Indiana. Our main goal is customer satisfaction; our team of experienced professionals will go above and beyond to exceed our clients’ expectations.

At JC Lawncare, we realize that first impressions last forever. We look forward to taking care of all your landscaping and property maintenance needs!

Our fully insured and highly trained staff pays close attention to every detail and uses the highest quality materials and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure our customers get the superior service they deserve.”

We Wrapped Santa’s Jeep! Awesome!

It’s true! We wrapped Santa’s Jeep! You’re not going to believe this, but I must tell someone. Okay, I’m telling everyone. I met Santa!  Not one of the fill-in Santa’s. The honest to goodness, Santa. Yes, he’s real. I met him because we wrapped Santa’s Jeep!

Santa in Our Breakroom

Early in September, I was walking through TKO Graphix breakroom when I saw two gentlemen waiting on a vehicle. One was large and dressed in red from head to toe. He wore a red cap, and had long white hair and a white beard. The other person was smaller, quite a lot smaller, very thin and his ears were … well, they were a bit pointy.

The Introduction

I introduced myself and asked for the man in red’s name he said, “Call me Chris.” I asked what they were doing and was told they were waiting on adhesive vinyl graphics to be completed on a brand-new Jeep. Can you guess the color of the Jeep? It was bright red.

Santa’s Jeep

I went downstairs to our installation bay to take a look and that’s when I realized that when the white-bearded one said call me Chris, he meant Kris, as in Kris Kringle. Santa Claus was upstairs in the TKO Graphix break room, and he had an elf with him!

I leaped up the stairs looked Kris in the eye and asked, Santa? He smiled and said, “Have a seat, I’m guessing you have questions.” I did.

But Why Do You Need Another Vehicle?

I asked, “With no disrespect, Santa why do you need a Jeep?” He said, “That’s a good question, but as you may know, as much as I depend on my sleigh it’s not my only mode of transportation.” To which I answered, “Ah, the Polar Express – you have a train!” Santa continued, “You see I load the Jeep on the Polar Express, so I have transportation when I arrive at a destination.” I told him I understood. We do a lot of work with shipping companies, and they call the final delivery the last mile. Santa’s Jeep is his last mile transportation.

The Nice List

I told Santa I was happy and proud he had chosen TKO Graphix for his vehicle graphics needs, but why us? I know there are providers closer to the North Pole. Santa told me time and distance don’t mean anything to him; he operated outside of those dimensions. I didn’t completely understand, but I nodded in agreement. I mean, who was I to question Santa? And then he told me he had heard very good things about TKO Graphix. We had made the nice list for more than 30 years in a row! Wow, we’re on the nice list!?

BTW, want to know how long before Santa makes his rounds again? Christmas Countdown Clock

It’s Santa’s Jeep!

So, if you see a red jeep being driven by a white-bearded gentleman with a pointy-eared little person in the passenger seat you know this for a fact. The graphics are the work of TKO!

Curbside Clips Trailer Wrap

I’m not a dog owner but I like this Curbside Clips trailer wrap. We have two indoor cats, but that’s not counting the four outdoor cats we feed every day, have named, and take to the vet. Those outside cats aren’t ours. Although we do pamper them as much as you can an outdoor cat. However, this quote from Curbside Clips Facebook page hit home. “Let us come to you!! Pamper and love your pet right outside their home. No more stressful car rides, cage free!” — Curbside Clips Dog Grooming Facebook.

Our cats, all six of them … I mean both of them, experience stress during car rides. Mobile home grooming is a wonderful idea, but only if the groomers know how to put your fur babies at ease.

Curbside Clips Reviews

So, I checked out Curbside Clips reviews and found the following:

“Jessica was wonderful! Did a great job on my Chihuahua and handled my miniature schnauzer puppy who is in the biting phase very sweetly! Both dogs look so good and we are happy to have found such an awesome local groomer!”

“Jessica had her work cut out for her today! 3 Dogs – 2 Five-Year-Old Boxers & 1 Catahoula Hound!! What a GEM 💎 Jessica did an amazing job & handled the pups great. Also, love that grooming is done here at our Lake Home! So much easier than loading Bo, Josie Girl & Clyde up & taking them to a facility!!! Thank You, Curbside Clips.”

“Jessica has groomed my English Springer Spaniel twice. He is older and has a hard time standing for very long. Jessica did an amazing job with him and Brewster really likes her. I highly recommend her. Thanks again Jessica.”

This is only a small sampling of the many positive reviews I found for Curbside Clips.

The Curbside Clips Trailer Wrap

I was so excited about sharing the reviews I found that I almost forgot about the Curbside Clips trailer wrap. To quote one of Curbside Clips customers the trailer is, “Woof woof bark bark bark woof.” I don’t think you can top that recommendation.

The Curbside Clips trailer wrap uses a red background framed in white on the lower third of the trailer. The fonts and colors are the same as you’ll find on their Facebook page, which establishes the brand. The contact info is easy to find and to read even at 55 MPH, and it’s on every side of the trailer. The image of a happy puppy in a bubble of soap and water catches your eye, and you can’t miss the paw prints! It’s all tied together with the tagline, “Let us come to you.” This trailer wrap works.

How Can We Help You?

There’s no doubt in my mind that the Curbside Clips trailer wrap will help earn new customers. They’ll get calls from folks who pass them on the highway, neighbors who spot them in the driveway next door, and potential clients who see them parked at some local eatery for lunch. So, here’s a couple of questions for you. Are your fleet vehicles wrapped? If not, could you use a few more customers? If you’d like to find out, Contact Us.

10 Examples of How to Use Window Graphics to Make Your Vehicle Wrap More Effective

Window graphics can add an entire new dimension to your fleet graphics. Here are 10 examples of how to use window graphics.

 Ciroc Limo

How to Use Window Graphics

How to Use Window Graphics

“Although this Ciroc limo wrap presented a large canvas, it also presented some design challenges. The difficulty was the windows. When the windows are deducted from the wrap; the area is odd shaped and not as big as one would think. How do you show two bottles, the name, and the rest of the brand?

The answer is – you wrap the windows. In the last few years, materials have become available that don’t obstruct vision from the inside, looking out, while presenting a complete image from the outside. This is done by using a window graphic that has a pattern of perforations. According to 3M’s statement on its 3M Scotchchal Perforated Window Graphics, “This 4-mil cast vinyl film allows a full image to be seen on the outside while allowing viewing through windows from the inside. A 50 percent perforation pattern enhances light transmission for a good balance of viewing through the window and image density as viewed from the outside.” — Window Graphics: A Window of Opportunity

Fuzzy’s Vodka

With vehicle graphic design it’s important to deliver the message and share the brand from every side of the vehicle – front, back, and sides. However, the rear of this Fuzzy’s Premium Vodka promotional car doesn’t provide a lot of space for a message.  The design team solved this dilemma with a branded Fuzzy’s decal on the back window, which is hard to miss. It’s a great example of how to use window graphics.

1-800-Radiator SCION car graphics, Indianapolis

          1-800-Radiator

One of the keys to a successful vehicle graphic design is to keep it simple and deliver the most important message. Contact information is usually near the top of the design hierarchy, which might also include, brand images such as a logo, taglines, and calls to action. So, on this design, it was important to the customer to include their branded logo on the front and sides. However, they didn’t want to reduce the size of the contact information or the logo to make it fit. If they had tried to make them smaller, then both would have become difficult to decipher at 55 MPH. The answer was to extend the logo into the rear window.

Snapology Vehicle Wrap

Snapology

“The partial wrap of the Snapology GMC Terrain gets the job done. Its message is clear and to the point. There’s no mistaking the brand with the legogator logo and branded soft green and orange corporate colors. I especially like the rear window film—Snapology stands out to everyone in front of, beside, or following this vehicle.” — Snapology GMC Terrain Partial Wrap

The tail of the legogator extends into the side glass, if it hadn’t the size of the Snapology brand logo would have needed to be reduced by nearly 50% to fit. I don’t believe it would’ve been recognizable if it were reduced that much – at least not when the vehicle was on the road.

Five Star Dance Studios bus wrap graphics, Indianapolis5-Star Party Bus

The 5-Star Dance Studio Wrap is a case study in taking a 1993 plain white bus and transforming it into a moving dance party. One of the keys to the transformation is the use of window graphics. By swirling the dancing couples onto the glass, the design adds dimension and movement. When the bus is moving, you can almost see them dancing.

“This 5 Star Dance Studios full wrap is eye-catching — it’s almost electrifying.

“The key elements to this design were installed in stages. The 1993 Provost bus began as an all-white vehicle. Layers were applied including:
• Outline colors
• Lettering
• Images of dancers
• Window graphics
• Reflective material

The entire design pops, but it’s the final touch of reflective material that literally makes this full wrap glow.” — 5-Star Dance Studio Party Bus Wrap.

Here’s a one-minute video showing the process from plain white bus to party bus,  5-Star Party Bus Wrap Video

Omalia’s Living Van Wrap

Here’s another example of how to use window graphics to send the best message. Check out the rear window. “The O’Malia’s Living vehicle graphic design is about branding. All you have to do is look at their website or the sign in front of their office, and the dots are connected. The van looks like O’Malia’s Living. It represents the organization, and whether parked at a customer’s home or business, it shouts O’Malia’s Living is here. And isn’t that what vehicle graphics branding should do?” — Omalia’s Living Van Wrap is about Branding

This might be my favorite example of how to use window graphics, because without them design would not work. However, with the use of window graphics, the message is delivered loud and clear.

Dalton Amazing Grace

I love this photo, which was casually taken by our president Tom Taulman II. Check out the cross rising into the glass – it wouldn’t have worked without the window graphics.

Performance PaintPerformance Paint

“The rear of the vehicle presented a not so unique problem that was turned into an opportunity. So much of the space on the rear of the vehicle is window it would be difficult to share a message large enough to be effective.

Also, if the message were reduced to fit the space available on the rear, it wouldn’t match the font size on the rest of the vehicle. You know the answer.”

Frigid Frog vehicle graphics

Frigid Frog vehicle graphics

Frigid Frog

“Near the end of last year, TKO Graphix ran a contest for a free vehicle wrap. One of the stipulations of the contest was for the business to write a short essay as to why they should be considered. I was privileged to be part of the team that picked the vehicle wrap winner. It was difficult to decide, so we didn’t pick one winner – we chose two. One was this Frigid Frog vehicle wrap.” — Frigid Frog Vehicle Wrap.

All you need do is look at the Frog wrap, and you realize how important the window graphics are to the overall design.

Are Window Graphics Safe?

According to 3M’s statement on its  3M Scotchal Perforated Window Graphics, “This 4-mil cast vinyl film allows a full image to be seen on the outside while allowing viewing through windows from the inside. A 50 percent perforation pattern enhances light transmission for a good balance of viewing through the window and image density as viewed from the outside.”

Are Window Graphics legal?

“The best answer is in most municipalities’ window graphics, and tints are legal with restrictions, but it’s best to check your city, county, and state ordinances.  For example, window tints are gauged by VLT (Visible Light Transmission).

*Tint darkness for sedans:

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line.
  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 30% of light in.
  • Back Side windows: Must allow more than 30% of light in.
  • Rear Window: Must allow more than 30% of light in.

*Tint darkness for SUV and vans:

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line.
  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 30% of light in.
  • Back Side windows: Any darkness can be applied several (unspecified) inches from the top of the window.
  • Rear Window: Any darkness can be applied several (unspecified) inches from the top of the window.” — Are Vehicle Window Graphics legal?

Emergency Vehicle Graphics: Ambulances

The other day I was chatting with Tom Taulman II, president of TKO Graphix, about emergency vehicle graphics. As far as Tom could recollect, over the years we’ve worked with agencies in all 92 counties in Indiana. It’s something Tom is proud of and so is TKO.

Emergency Vehicle Graphics

After our conversation I began looking at our portfolio photos, blogs, and Facebook posts of the many emergency departments we’ve worked with. The number was staggering. If I gathered all the police, fire, and ambulance material in one place it would make a fine coffee table book. However, it would be too much for a blog post. So, I decided to break it into categories and begin with ambulances. Here are a just few of our posts about ambulances from the TKO Brandwire archives.

Plainfield Fire Ambulance

“Besides this being an excellent example of the work we do with municipalities (and a fine photo from Josh Humble), there’s another reason for sharing this photo today. It’s because our public servants do a lot of good work — and not just what’s expected of them. Yes, they serve and protect, and often risk themselves for us, but they do so much more. They volunteer, spearhead, and promote charitable events year-round by donating their time, funds, and hearts. This time of year, fireman, policeman, and first-responders are especially visible, celebrating the season by giving back.

So, you can support your local heroes by helping their charitable initiatives. Simply Google your local fire and police departments + “Charities” or call them to learn what charities they support. Helping them help others strengthens our communities. If you live in Plainfield and would like to contribute, the Plainfield Fire District is a Toys for Tots drop-off. They’ll also provide you with best practices and tips for holiday fire prevention.

Emergency Vehicle Graphics: Ambulances
Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Ambulance

Pike Township Ambulance

“Last week, much of Indiana shut down due to subzero temperatures and almost a foot of snow. Most counties posted a red Travel Advisory Alert, which limits travel to emergency vehicles. As we watched the local news, we saw road crews, utility personnel, and first responders working under nearly impossible conditions. The first responders included fire fighters coaxing frozen gear, equipment, and water supplies to save lives in our community, state, and across the nation despite the danger to themselves.

We saw emergency personnel—EMT’s and ambulance drivers responding to the needs of others regardless of snow covered roadways and arctic conditions. We heard the behind the scenes team members answering phones, advising those in peril, and dispatching crews where they were most needed.

The department is headquartered at located at 4881 W. 71st St, Indianapolis. Besides emergency services, they offer many community initiatives such as fire prevention and safety education. Their mission is, “To safeguard our community through services designed to protect life and property.”

Emergency Vehicle Graphics: Ambulances

Beech Grove Ambulance

“Emergency vehicle graphics can be a special challenge. Because, not only do regulations vary by state and municipality, but an Emergency Vehicle must be immediately recognizable. The Beech Grove ambulance graphics were designed through the cooperation of the Beech Grove Fire Department and the TKO design team.

It Reflects Well!

The design includes highly visible reflective chevrons on the back of the ambulance, unit numbers, and medic numbers. Along with the department’s logo, the design incorporates the Star of Life symbol. This six-pointed blue star, outlined in white, was designed by the NHTSA (National Highway Safety Administration) under the auspices of DOT (Department of Transportation). The symbol is used to certify ambulances, paramedics, and EMS personnel. On an interesting note, the word, “Ambulance” is reversed (mirror image) on the front of vehicle. So, can you guess why?”

— Beech Grove Ambulance Graphics

Helen Devos Children’s Hospital

I’ve been taken to the hospital in an ambulance. I’m an adult, and it was scary. I was afraid. If it hadn’t been for the staff, it may have been terrifying. So, imagine what an ambulance ride must be like for a child. emergency vehicle graphics need to fit the patient.

My first impression of the Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital critical care transport was — “that’s fun!” It took me a minute to realize its function. And then I understood, so, this ambulance was different because fun was the point.

The wrap includes bright colored childlike shapes on a solid blue background. Why blue? Because blue creates a feeling of trust, therefore being a reliable source of help during traumatic times.

The word, “ambulance,” isn’t printed anywhere on the vehicle. Because it’s a transport, not an ambulance. So, the design of this transport wrap put a smile on my face — let’s hope it does the same for children in need.

The Helen Devos Children’s Hospital of Grand Rapids, Michigan, came into being in 1993 as a critical care hospital for children. U.S. News and World Report selected Helen DeVos Hospital as one of the top 50 pediatric specialty facilities in America for 2012-2013.”

What You Should Know About Sharing the Road with Emergency Vehicles

“Although emergency vehicles may cause delays, they are not a nuisance. Because the emergency vehicle you stop for may be preventing a crime, salvaging property, or saving lives.

TKO Graphix has helped more than 90 agencies with their emergency vehicles graphics. The key to emergency vehicle graphic design is identification. Tracy White,  TKO Graphix designer says, “It’s critical for public safety that emergency vehicles are easily recognized and instantly identifiable.”

So, until I asked Tracy what was important about designing graphics for emergency vehicles, I never considered how critical identification is. I guess it’s something I’ve taken for granted, but if an emergency vehicle doesn’t immediately look like an emergency vehicle, it becomes a public safety concern. The agencies are doing their part so, we, the public, need to do ours.

What to Do When Emergency Vehicles Approach

In your lane – Pull over to the nearest edge

In the opposite lane – Be prepared to slow down or stop

(If you are) following – Stay 500 feet behind

Move Over Law – Between 1999 and 2009, more than one emergency worker per month was killed while assisting motorists on the side of the road. * When approaching an emergency vehicle on the side of the road – Move to another lane, if you’re unable to move, slow down to at least 20 MPH below the posted speed limit. *

Keep in mind, police may approach with lights only as to not alert criminal activity with sirens.

Remember to stay alert and look for emergency vehicles. They are serving you and me. Give the right of way to any vehicle flashing red, blue or amber lights. Let them do their job—safely.

FEMA published a pdf (2009), disclosing more information regarding this critical aspect of emergency vehicle identification.

If you’re in law enforcement, or you’re part of a first response team, and would like help with your agency’s vehicle graphics, let us know, or call 1-888-544-8051.”

Have You Said Thank You?

TKO Graphix is privileged to work with emergency teams, fire, police, and medical all over Indiana and beyond. We salute all the hero’s that operate these emergency vehicles. Because these men and women put themselves in harms way every day.  So, why not take a minute or two this week and stop by a station and show your appreciation for these life-saving public servants by simply saying thank you? Because, we’d be lost without first responders and emergency workers.

What the Customer Has to Say About TKO Graphix

“I’ve been working with TKO Graphix since I started my business in 2001. The reason I’ve worked with them for 17 years is, first of all, they do very good work, but it’s more than that. They have excellent customer service, whenever I’ve had a question or an issue they’ve been on top of it. I also appreciate that they’re a laid-back organization. I can walk into their office at any time and immediately get to see whoever I need to talk to. You don’t find that everywhere.”    – From Rick Snyder Owner of Performance Paint

The Fleet GraphicsPerformance Paint

Since 2001 we’ve designed, manufactured, and installed vehicle graphics on a myriad number of Performance Paint vehicles including, vans, pick-up trucks, and transits. The latest wrap is a Ford Transit.

Business vehicles should be business-like, right? They should get the message across — company name, contact information, and maybe a call to action. So, they shouldn’t be too bold or adventurous, should they? The answer is they should attract enough attention to be noticed without distracting from the message and that’s what the transit wrap does.

The Transit Wrap

This full wrap is a good example. Designed in bold red and black, it stands out and … it has flames! When I saw this vehicle in our shop, I was immediately drawn to it. Its design is almost irresistible, and the message comes through. Full wrap designs should fit the image of a business yet be bold enough to attract attention. That’s exactly what the Performance Paint fleet graphics accomplish.

The flames streaming from the front of the vehicle focus attention on the company logo, contact information, and services offered. Then the flames race across the black

If you google flames on vehicles, you’ll find thousands of examples. However, not all are as attention-grabbing as the flames on the Performance Paint fleet. The flames start as a deep orange-red and fade into yellow, outlined in blue against a black background. These flames look hot. I’m sure if you touched it you’d get burned.

The contact information is easy to find and to read. Whether parked in a customer’s drive or cruising on I-74 at 55 MPH it’s critical that prospects can find and decipher how to contact the business.

The services are printed in white and then outlined in black to stand out.  The points listing detailing, body shop, dent removal, and paint make it clear what Performance Paint offers, and what problems they solve.

Who Doesn’t like Flames?

If you google flames on vehicles, you’ll find thousands of examples. However, not all are as attention-grabbing as the flames on the Performance Paint fleet. The flames start as a deep orange-red and fade into yellow, outlined in blue against a black background. These flames look hot. I’m sure if you touched it you’d get burned.

The flames do the job of capturing the eye. The importance of standing out cannot be underestimated.  Consumers are bombarded by dozens of visual messages every second of the day. Think about it, how many billboards, signs, and vehicle graphics are you exposed to every day? And more importantly, how many do you remember?  How many stand out?

Performance Paint Transit-Rear

A Window of Opportunity

The rear of the vehicle presented a not so unique problem that was turned into an opportunity. So much of the space on the rear of the vehicle is window it would be difficult to share a message large enough to be effective if the design was limited to the the body of the vehicle.

Also, if the message were reduced to fit the space available on the rear it wouldn’t match the font size on the rest of the vehicle. So, what’s the answer?

“The answer is – you wrap the windows.

The Advantages of UV Printers

Before I list the advantages of UV printers let me say a little bit about what UV printers are. If you already know what a UV printer is and how it works, you can skip ahead.

Unlike solvent ink printers that use an evaporative process to cure ink to a substrate, often using heat to speed the process, UV printers cure almost instantaneously when exposed to Ultra Violet light. When UV reaches the print a chemical in the ink, called a photoinitiator, turns the ink into a film that adheres to the substrate.

So, what are the advantages and when should UV ink be used?

Advantages of UV Printers

Time

As I said earlier, UV ink cures almost immediately, unlike solvent inks, which use an evaporative process that can be time-consuming, there is no time needed to heat, cure, or gas out the print when using UV photoinitiator inks.

Green

Some of the solvents used to adhere ink to a surface can be harmful to the environment. Although the amounts of solvent are usually not dangerous, UV virtually has no solvents or harmful chemicals.

Direct print

The surfaces on which solvent ink may be printed are limited. Most often solvent inks are used on paper or vinyl. UV can be directly printed on plastic, wood, and aluminum.

Wide substrate

Flatbed UV printers can print on substrates up to two inches thick. Here at TKO Graphix, we’ve printed a wood grain on a fiberglass home front door, sign panels, and yard signs.

What are the Pros and Cons of Solvent and UV Print?

“As with any application, there are advantages to using both UV-curable flatbed and solvent printers. While the flatbed market is dominated by UV-curable printers, there have been issues with the adhesion and flexibility properties of the UV-curable inks, but this continues to improve with evolving technology. Solvent ink printers, however, are ideal for flexible applications, such as vehicle and building wraps, because they have high rates of coverage and durability.” — Sign & Digital Graphics.

4 Common Vehicle Graphics FWAs

What are 4 common vehicle graphics FWAs? But first, what’s an FWA? You know what an FAQ is, it’s Frequently Asked Questions, but what’s this FWA stuff? FWA stands for Frequent Wrong Assumptions. I might have made this up, but why not, someone needed to. So, what are the FWA’s for vehicle graphics? Here are a few of the common vehicle graphics FWA’s we hear most often.

4 Common Vehicle Graphics FWAs

My Business is too Small for Vehicle Graphics

“Put yourself in your customer’s shoes. When you see a plain company vehicle with no identification, does it inspire confidence? Worse yet, what if it’s dirty, damaged, or dangerous looking. What do you think when you see a substandard vehicle that represents a business? How would you react if an unprofessional company vehicle pulled into your parking lot to “sell” you? What if it was a provider’s van parked in your home driveway there to complete service work?

Vehicle graphics add a sense of professionalism. Think about it. When’s the last time you saw a car or truck from one of the major providers in your industry that didn’t have vehicle graphics?” — Do Vehicle Graphics Matter for a Small Business?

I Don’t Have Enough Vehicles for it to Matter.

Read the paragraph above. It doesn’t matter if you have one truck or 2,000 —vehicle graphics add to the professionalism of your business as well as advertise your offerings. And think about this. If you only have a few company vehicles, but they work in one general geographic area, when people become familiar with your vehicle graphics it can seem as if you have many vehicles.

My Car is too Small

No vehicle is too small for vehicle graphics. Yes, a 53-foot trailer is a traveling billboard, but I’ve seen smart cars, golf carts, and even motorcycles with eye-catching, attention-grabbing graphics. Size does matter, but not as much as many believe. When your service van, truck, or car pulls into a neighborhood or business park, potential customers see it, and that means something.

Vehicle Graphics Are Too Expensive!

Not only do vehicle graphics add to the professionalism of your vehicles they’re effective advertising. According to several studies, vehicle graphics have a higher return on investment than TV, radio, print, or billboards.

“A Yellow Page bold-line ad can run $100/month — and up to $4000/month for a full-page (I’ve bought both). Billboards can run $700 to $2500 per month. A vehicle wrap can run $1500 to $3000, and last two – seven years.” — Why Haven’t You Wrapped Your Company Vehicles?

What’s Your Vehicle Graphic FWA?

There are many common vehicle graphics FWAs. What assumptions have you made about vehicle graphics that are questionable? If your assumptions have stopped you from pursuing vehicle graphics for you work cars and trucks you might want to rethink your position. If we can offer our advice, please, Contact Us.
